A year and a half after 6,000 acres of sparse residents received involuntary annexation notices, we sit and await the Judge’s decision. For 30-60 days after the court date of July 21st, the residents of the reduced annexation plan, known as the Western Boundary, sit on pins and needles waiting to see if their lands will be forcibly included into the town of Fortville, increasing their taxes with no real benefits. Updates and info can be found on the FAFA Facebook page: FAFA We also have a full page dedicated to the annexation battle on our web site here: Involuntary Farm Annexation
In spite of the greed of the town council, Fortville is full of some very beautiful people. Several businesses have left due to the economy, the dysfunction of the town leaders, or location. But in spite of the odds, a few have hung in, surviving by sheer goodness. Several individuals have worked tirelessly to beautify the town. We would love to highlight a few of our favorite businesses:

Java Junction is any coffee addict’s hang-out! As I am sitting here, sipping on the best Pumpkin Spice Latte (made by Mike himself!), the peaceful atmosphere of any small town engulfs my surroundings.
The 2:00 train just rolled through, a classic truck rambled by, and soft music in my ears will lift any mood. Check out their Facebook page for the latest: Java Junction

They serve Latte’s, Coffee, hot cider, Hot Chocolate, Hot steamers, hot teas, Frappe’s, Smoothies, Muffins, Bagels, Cupcakes, and Cookies, and MORE!
On Saturday’s they serve better biscuits & gravy than my grandma!
